FAQs
Do you do Custom trips?
Yes, we host custom trips for those who are not interested in the group trips. These will be completely flexible and can include as much or as little support from us. We can book transport, accommodation, activities, reservations and more for you and also be there physically with you also. Our custom trips range from day trips – month long trips.
How much spending money do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing £200 – £300 / $300 for spending money. Even though a lot of things are included in the package, social activities and meals not covered or ad-hoc activities. We will also be visiting some markets / malls where you may wish to purchase things for yourself and others. The exchange rate from Naira to dollar is about $1 – N1500, £1 – N1700 so $100 dollars would be N150,000 and £100 would be about N170,000. These do fluctuate so these are just a rough estimate to what they may be when we travel.
How much would flights cost? Can you sort this out for me?
We estimate that flights may cost anywhere from £400-£1600 / $500-$2000. It will depend on how early you book, who you book with, if you book a direct flight or a flight with stopovers. Once you pay your deposit, we will send you information on what flights to book and how to get the best deals.
We could help you find and book flights with our partner travel agents if you get in touch with us using the contact form below and let us know where you will be coming from and the relevant details needed.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Deposits are non-refundable. You have 7 days from the date of your first payment to change your mind and cancel for a refund minus the deposit. After this, we would have begun paying vendors in Nigeria and you will not be able to receive a refund. Your package will be transferable though and you can find someone else to replace you.
Can I go and visit family and friends whilst on the trip or travel domestically?
We do not recommend travelling outside of Lagos whilst on the trip with us and you will have to sign a liability release form if you choose to travel out of state without us. We will have ‘free days’ where you may visit people within Lagos and we can help you facilitate that.
Will there be an opportunity to explore nightlife?
Yes, we will have the opportunity to explore the nightlife.
Can you handle our visas / how do we sort out the visas?
If you are a Nigerian citizen or if you are the child of a Nigerian citizen, we recommend you get a Nigerian passport as this will make it easier (we will send information regarding how to do this). If not, we will provide information on how to go about obtaining a visa before arriving in Nigeria. We may also be able to help you obtain a visa prior to the trip or visa on arrival at an additional cost.
Please ensure you have a passport valid for the entirety of the year you are travelling. We will give you all the help/assistance you may need so please contact us if there are any issues.
What will the itinerary look like?
We will send a detailed itinerary once you have booked your place on the trip and closer to the time of travel which will detail our daily activities and everything you need to know. The trip will involve a lot of sightseeing, cultural and historical trips, seeing how locals live, going out to dinners, nightlife (clubs/lounges for those who are interested), galleries, museums, market trips, beach days, game nights, movie nights, exploration of Nigerian cuisines and so much more. It will also include one or two trips outside of Lagos.
Can I leave the trip early or choose to stay on in Nigeria after the 10th day?
Yes. You book your flight tickets so you can pick the dates you wish to travel but we do not take responsibility for any days you choose to stay in Nigeria outside of the trip days and you will have to organise your transport from the airport to the hotel if you will be coming later or earlier than the designated days though we will be happy to assist you in doing so.
If there is anything else you are concerned about or would like to know, please use the contact form below or send us an email at travelorisun@gmail.com. More information such as hotel, detailed itinerary will be provided after booking/payment for security reasons.

This Is What Our Travellers Are Saying
Life changer for me!
The Orisun trip was a life changer for me. Of course, the itinerary had some great events, and of course, my fellow travelers were great as well, but it was way deeper than that for me. The Orisun trip grew my confidence to a level that I don’t believe can ever be adversely affected. It showed me that I could dream something up, and then actually achieve it.

100% for you!
My Orisun 2022 experience was one-of-a-kind. From being able to visit my father’s land in Badagry, and seeing the actual compound where my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were born, to meeting lifelong friends, I couldn’t have asked for a better group trip. Every single step I took during the Orisun 2022 trip, I took with a huge smile, as it was my first time in Nigeria.
- Fatai Williams
Exceeded my greatest
expectations!
I participated in Orisun 2022, and the adventure far exceeded my greatest expectations! We had a wide variety of adventures that included special treats for us along the way that never would have happened on our own! And the food was amazing! I hope this will become an annual event!
- Lady Oshun
I enjoyed this trip a lot!
The group was very chilled and I felt very safe the whole time. Exactly what I needed for a first-time experience in Nigeria.
The guides were nice and comfortable to be around. The food was delicious and the accommodations were first-class!
I would do it again!
